City of Sedona's Monthly Round Up for February 2024

The City of Sedona released its monthly newsletter, providing residents with a roundup of news, events, and announcements for February 2024.

City Council meetings in February included a presentation on the December 2023 Sales and Bed Tax Report. The Council also discussed the draft 10-year Community Plan, with a Public Hearing scheduled for March 12 and potential adoption on March 26.

Residents were encouraged to check out the recently released 2023 Community Report, showcasing last year's achievements and outlining objectives for 2024. An accompanying video was created to complement the report, urging residents to share it with their friends and neighbors.

Additionally, the City announced the commencement of free Sedona Trailhead Shuttles running daily until April 21, providing transportation to popular trailheads in the area.

Other highlights included the call for nominations for the Mayor's Arts Awards, the upcoming Community Police Academy scheduled from May 7 through June 18, and an invitation for 501(c) organizations to apply for funding through the Small Grants Program.

In positive news, the Sedona Police Department's K9 Sam is set to receive a protective vest thanks to a generous donation from Vested Interest in K9s, Inc.
